Sunshine Marine airbag is a new type of product developed independently in China which has been widely applied to ship upgrading and launching operation of ships, or help to float the stranded ships or to carry the heavy loads etc. Over more than 20 years of development, the marine airbag has become one of important choices for ship owners due its excellent performances and features including not limited by space, no need for large-size equipment, high efficient and simple operation and smaller investment etc.
Sunshine Maritime ship launching airbags are manufactured and tested comply with ISO 14409 “Ships and marine technology – ship launching air bags“, certificated by CCS, LR, DNV.
There are two more China industrial standards and one ISO standard for ship launching airbags:
— CB/T 3837-1998 Technological Requirements for ship Upgrading or Launching Relying on Airbags (Shipbuilding Industry Standard, PRC) — CB/T 3795-1996 / CB/T 3795-2009 Air bag for ship up to or down to launching way.
— ISO 17682 Ship sand marine technology —Methodology for launching ship utilizing airbags.
Marine airbag is composed of airbag body, airbag head and steel end fittings.
1.Steel end fittings: it includes 1 -inflation end which is installed on the top of airbag head to inflate or deflate the airbag and 4 -sealing end ring which is used during carriage of airbag.
2.Airbag body: it refers to the cylindrical part of airbag which is a working part of the airbag. Our company has designed the optimal integrated fabric cord winding to achieve homogeneous pressure of each layer of fabric cord and bring it to full play, based on the size and direction of main stress of rolling airbag wall.
3.Airbag head: it refers to an end of airbag. Hemisphere and cone types are available.
1. Diameter D: 0.8m~2.0m
2. Effective length Le ranges from 6 meters to 23 meters.
3. Total length L ranges from 7 meters to 24.5 meters.
4. standard number of layer
in order to confirm airbags safety working pressure we define the number of layers,which means the number of synthetic-tire-cord layers,normally we offer marine airbags with 4,5,6,7,8 layers.

To select the correct the size and type of marine airbags is the keypoint for the successful ship launching project. normally,we should consider the diameter,effective length,number of layer,the material of framework.
Selection Of Raw Materials
1. outer and inner rubber layer : in order to ensure the airbag could work effectively under inclement conditions, our company selects top quality natural rubber as main material which is blended at proper proportion with various auxiliary materials to have durable anti-aging capability and strong wear resistance.
2.Synthetic-tire-cord layers, as the reinforcement layers, are twined at angles with excellent technology for higher internal pressure and more even stress distribution, for instance, the wrap is over 95 cords per 100 mm in width coming with breaking strength more than 310N per cords. Meanwhile, the high strength tire cords layers effectively enhance the explosion resistance capability of airbags even under high pressure. Normally, there are two types of tire cord materials with different performance for you to choose from.
end fittings include air tightness swivel and safety air inlet.these end fittings are enclosed when airbags leave our factory.
